Salary: £60K-£65K

We are recruiting for a small but ambitious non-profit organisation seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Finance & Operations to join the team. This pivotal role will oversee financial management, operational processes, and ensure they remain efficient, compliant and sustainable as they grow their impact with members.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead on all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and control. You will manage a Finance Assistant and work closely with the wider team and trustees to provide clear insight and analysis to support decision-making.

Alongside finance, you will oversee key operational functions including IT, CRM, office management and contracts, ensuring the organisation runs smoothly and effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Managing day-to-day finance functions, supported by the Finance Assistant.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant charity, company, and financial regulations.
• Reporting to the Board of Trustees.
• Supporting governance, risk management, and policy development.
• Overseeing IT, CRM and operational / office systems to enable staff and volunteers to thrive.

About you:

You will be a qualified accountant and have experience in financial management within a non-profit / charity organisation. You’ll combine technical financial expertise with strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach. You are comfortable working at both strategic and hands-on levels, and you enjoy improving systems and processes.
