Memcom works with membership organisations to help them grow, connect and thrive. Our commercial partnerships and sponsorships play an important role in supporting our events, services and community. 

Role overview 

The Sponsorship Executive will play a key role in developing new commercial relationships and managing Memcom’s portfolio of sponsors and partners. Working closely with the Executive Director, Commercial & Partnerships, you will take ownership of partnership development and account management, ensuring partners receive measurable value and a consistently high-quality experience. 

This role offers autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to shape how Memcom works with commercial partners. 

Key responsibilities 

Partnership research & pipeline support 

  • Identify, research and develop new sponsorship and commercial partnership opportunities 
  • Proactively manage outreach and relationship building with prospective partners 
  • Attend relevant industry events to build Memcom’s commercial network 
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform partnership strategy 
  • Develop and manage a structured pipeline communications plan 
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and relationship data in the CRM 
  • Provide regular, insightful updates to the Director on pipeline activity and opportunities 

Business development support 

  • Manage meetings and communications with prospective partners, independently or alongside the Director 
  • Lead the development of partnership proposals and respond to partner queries 
  • Draft and issue partnership contracts and documentation 
  • Manage invoicing processes in collaboration with the Director and accountant 

Partnership delivery & account support 

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for Memcom’s sponsors and partners 
  • Build strong, long-term relationships through regular communication and review meetings 
  • Monitor partnership agreements and ensure all deliverables are met in collaboration with internal teams 
  • Track, evaluate and report on partnership performance 
  • Identify opportunities to renew, extend or expand existing partnerships 
  • Manage partner listings on the Supplier Directory 
  • Contribute to the development of partner-focused marketing and sales collateral 

 Events & collaboration 

  • Attend Memcom live events (primarily London-based) to support sponsors and maximise partner value 
  • Work closely with the Head of Events and Marketing team to deliver a seamless partner experience 
  • Collaborate on partner-led marketing and promotional campaigns 
  • Work across the whole of Memcom to identify potential partners and collaborators, and deliver new business opportunities as required 

About you 

Essential 

  • Proven experience in sponsorship, partnerships, business development or account management 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Confidence working independently and managing partner relationships 
  • Willingness to travel and attend events 
  • A competitive streak, a winning mindset and a positive attitude 
  • Resilience and optimism 

Desirable 

  • Experience working with membership organisations, professional bodies or the not-for-profit sector 
  • Experience using a CRM system to manage pipeline and relationships 
  • Understanding of corporate marketing and partnership activation
