Chief Executive Officer
Contract: Full time / permanent
Closing date: 10-07-2024
Salary: £100k+
Location: London
We are the World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI), the voice and future of global nuclear transport Headquartered in London. Ours is an important, growing industry, underpinning the increasing international interest in nuclear energy, and the perfect place for anyone keen to influence the global stage.
WNTI currently has over 50 corporate members and is supported by a small professional staff team (hybrid, 2 days from office); secondees, based in London, and consultants and volunteers, based around the world. Our strategic objectives are: to be an authoritative voice for the industry and our members; drive collaboration; innovate, learn and share; and influence policy, regulation and practice within the industry. Our next CEO will lead our team to deliver our ambitious strategic and operational objectives.
We drive safety and security within the sector and represent our members on a global stage. We also organise conferences and events and produce respected publications, but there’s much more we could do. As CEO, your leadership and vision will ensure WNTI’s financial stability and corporate sustainability, uphold professional standards, and meet our members’ current and future needs.
The CEO role is outward facing, and over time you will become a credible voice within our sector, expanding and developing WNTI’s role and influence with stakeholders, governments, and the industry at large, engaging with key stakeholders and securing WNTI’s position within the nuclear community.
The CEO is appointed by, and reports to, the WNTI Board of Directors via the Chair. Since all of our Directors work in the nuclear sector, in our next CEO the Board is primarily looking for a strong leader driven by delivery.
The CEO will bring a solid understanding of managing a membership organisation, relationship building and management, have a proven commercial mindset and be proactive in advising the Board on risk, finance and business planning.
