Communications Officer

The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) is looking for a dynamic Communications Officer to join our vibrant team. Working with the Head of PR & Communications, you’ll create captivating content to engage CITMA members, whilst informing stakeholders and the public with information about trade marks, designs and the work of CITMA. The role holder will be an exceptional copywriter and will be responsible for planning and executing CITMA’s day-to-day content output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce engaging content for CITMA’s website, social media, and e-newsletters
- Write and promote event-related copy
- Lead content ideas generation and maintain a dynamic content calendar
- Ensure our website is updated with the latest information
- Support the implementation of our communications strategy
- Analyse data to gauge content performance (e.g. Google Analytics, social media platform data)
- Produce the annual report
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum two years in a communications role
- Proven ability to create engaging content ideas
- Experience in commissioning and crafting clear, engaging written content
- Skilled in updating websites using content management systems
- Professional social media management experience
- Experience in planning cross-channel communications
- Ability to report communications statistics against targets
- An added bonus would be experience in events marketing
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Proactive, enthusiastic self-starter with a record of generating and executing high-quality ideas
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Exceptional written English skills with extensive copywriting and proofreading experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills, confident in engaging with all levels and multiple stakeholders
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines and managing a demanding workload
- Creative and innovative, willing to suggest new ideas
- Highly computer literate and proficient in IT systems
