We are seeking an Executive Assistant to work for a small non-profit professional membership body based in Central London. You would join an organisation that has a tight-knit and sociable culture, providing executive administrative support to the Deputy Chief Executive and elected Officers.
The role revolves around scheduling internal and external meetings, diary management, administrating confidential written correspondence, booking attendance at events and arranging travel and accommodation, as well as carrying out research and preparing policy paper and consultation responses.
There are other wide ranging responsibilities outside of the typical EA duties, which makes this vacancy a great chance to grow your skills. This includes working with committees, taking detailed notes and formal minutes, assisting Chairs in preparing agendas, arranging the meetings, supporting partner bodies when delivering activities requiring input from the Deputy Chief Executive and/or elected Officers. Liaising with external stakeholders such as civil servants, parliamentarians and the media gives.
Two other areas are providing HR support. This includes assisting on the recruitment of all new employees, working with external recruiters and arranging interviews, issuing contracts of employment, central contact for all health and safety matters, contact for pensions agencies, insurance companies and outsourced HR support. You will also provide data processing support, invoices on the online finance platform and liaising with accountants.
