Are you an organised, proactive and people-focused professional looking for a role where you can make a real difference? The Royal Entomological Society (RES) is on an exciting journey with a new strategy for 2025–2028. They’re looking for an Executive Co-ordinator to provide high-level administrative and operational support to the CEO, Director of Publishing, and Trustees – helping to drive forward their ambitious plans to “enrich the world with insect science.”

This varied role offers the chance to work across projects, support governance processes, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll be at the heart of a small, passionate team dedicated to advancing insect science through research, publishing, education, and public engagement.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide proactive administrative & project support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
  • Act as the first point of contact for Trustees & external stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate Board & Subcommittee meetings, agendas, and minutes
  • Support cross-organisational projects & day-to-day operations
  • Assist with HR processes, recruitment & onboarding
  • Arrange travel and logistics for SLT

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong administrative experience, including diary management & stakeholder liaison
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects & priorities in a small team environment
  • Interest in science, environment, or the non-profit sector (desirable)
