Our client, The Royal Photographic Society, is seeking a Finance & Data Analyst to join its team at a pivotal stage in its development. This is an opportunity to play a key role in helping a respected national charity strengthen their financial planning, become increasingly data-led, commercially aware and strategically focused.
Reporting to the Director of Finance & HR, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, analysis and insight across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders and budget holders, you will produce management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting processes, analyse performance trends, and provide recommendations that support effective decision-making.
Beyond the finance function, you will help develop meaningful management information across the Society, bringing together data from membership, education, distinctions and regional activities to provide a clearer understanding of organisational performance. You will identify trends, create reporting tools and dashboards, and help colleagues turn data into actionable insight.
This role would suit a commercially minded analyst who enjoys working with both financial and operational data, is naturally curious, and can confidently communicate findings to a range of stakeholders.
Key requirements include:
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- Experience producing management information and performance reports
- The ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working within a charity, membership, education or not-for-profit environment
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation with a rich heritage and ambitious future plans, where your analysis and insight will directly influence organisational performance, planning and strategic decision-making.
