Head of Finance

We're looking for a Head of Finance (Director level) to plan, manage and account for all financial activities of a small professional body based in Central London. As well as managing a small team, you'll be responsible for the implementation of measures to help the organisation grow over the next few years, advising the Trustee Board and Honorary Treasurer as required, and working with the newly appointed interim CEO to bring the organisation back to full recovery.

You'll collaborate with the SLT on sensible metrics, goals and KPIs, evaluate projects and costs and present strategic finance issues to the board to allow transparency in decision making, enabling them to make the right decisions regarding the strategic delivery plan.

As Head of Finance, you'll be expected to oversee the production of the annual budgets, monitor cash and investments, ensure all statutory accounts, taxation and legal reporting deadlines are met, and that statutory accounts are completed and filed within necessary timelines. You'll also oversee all aspects of the work of the small finance team, including banking, reporting, systems, payroll, PAYE/Corporation Tax and VAT compliance, etc., and continue to develop and maintain systems for optimum efficiency and security.

This is a good, hands-on role within a small organisation. You'll contribute to the organisation's strategy, and work with colleagues at a senior level, but the role will also require you to have a handle on the daily activities of the organisation.
