Our client, a global professional association in the finance sector, is looking for a Head of Marketing to provide essential services to its members, fostering a strong sense of community while delivering impactful programmes and resources that make a difference.
Job Purpose
As the Head of Marketing, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the organisation's marketing strategy. Your leadership will be vital in driving member engagement, promoting services, and enhancing the organisation’s visibility and reputation within the membership sector. You will lead a team responsible for all marketing and communications activities, ensuring that the organisation's message is effectively communicated to both existing members and prospective audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with organisational goals, focusing on member engagement, retention, and growth.
Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms and communications, both internally and externally, to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
Digital Marketing & Communications: Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, social media, email campaigns, and other digital channels to drive member engagement and attract new members.
Membership Growth & Retention: Lead initiatives aimed at growing the membership base and improving retention rates through targeted marketing campaigns and engagement strategies.
Content Creation & Campaigns: Oversee the creation of compelling content for marketing campaigns, newsletters, reports, and other collateral to effectively communicate the value of membership.
Events Marketing: Develop and manage marketing plans for organizational events, including webinars, conferences, and networking sessions, ensuring maximum reach and engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including members, partners, and sponsors, to enhance collaboration and marketing impact.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role within the membership, non-profit, or related sectors.
- Strong strategic and leadership skills, with the ability to drive organisational change.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing strategies that deliver tangible results.
- Expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, social media, and content marketing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing and mentoring a team.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with the membership sector and understanding of membership-based marketing challenges.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation tools.
