Full-time or part-time (both considered)

Salary £33K-£35K FTE

18 month FTC, Remote

The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is seeking a Membership Engagement & Communications Executive to engage with current, lapsed and potential new members. With 2,400 members, the IPS is dedicated to advancing infection prevention and control (IPC), playing a pivotal role in supporting IPC professionals, promoting best practices, and influencing policy to prevent infections.

The organisation is transitioning away from being a association-management / volunteer-led model to a small secretariat, that supports professionals in the healthcare sector, influencing public policy and promoting best practice. They are currently changing their business and employee structure and need a talented membership professional to engage with current and potential members

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily membership enquiries and financial processes.
• Maintain CRM and membership systems.
• Data analysis of metrics, suggesting improvements.
• Work with Engagement & Governance Manager to develop membership strategies.
• Identify expansion opportunities; Provide accurate reports on membership statistics.
• Develop communications plans, working with Special Interest groups.
• Work with Education & Events Manager to devise a new marketing and communications strategy.
• Assist with social media strategy for events and education.

Requirements:

• Ideally experience within a professional membership body, charity or other non-profit organisation.
• Ideally, a Bachelor's degree or experience in membership, digital marketing, communications or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to write for a variety of audiences.
• Excellent database management skills.
• Strong marketing and communications skills, familiar with social media and website management.
