We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded Portfolio Manager (Membership) to lead the development and transformation of a dynamic membership product portfolio for a professional membership organisation.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll drive innovation, shape membership pathways, and ensure products deliver real value to members, employers, and stakeholders.
The Role:
Reporting to the Product Director, you’ll take ownership of the membership product portfolio, leading strategy, lifecycle management, and performance. You’ll play a key role in evolving membership categories and propositions, ensuring they remain relevant, compliant, and future-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Innovation
- Define and deliver the membership product portfolio strategy and roadmap
- Design and refresh membership categories and member pathways
- Identify market opportunities and drive product innovation
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and industry standards
Portfolio & Performance Management
- Oversee the full product lifecycle across the portfolio
- Set and track KPIs, using data to optimise performance and drive growth
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Identify risks and opportunities across products and services
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work cross-functionally with teams across product, marketing, tech, and professional standards
- Translate customer needs and market insight into actionable product plans
- Ensure strong go-to-market strategies for all products
Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers and Associates
- Foster a high-performance, commercially focused culture
- Build strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally
- Act as a subject matter expert for membership products
About You:
You’re an experienced membership or product professional with a strong track record of delivering impactful products in a regulated or professional body environment.
You will bring:
- Experience designing membership propositions, categories, and pathways
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and strategy
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver through others
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Commercial acumen with strong analytical and financial skills
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
