Temporary Senior Finance Professional (Part-Time Contract)

2–3 days per week | 2–3 months contract

1 day per week from London office

Equivalent to £65,000–£75,000 FTE

An established professional membership organisation with a global reach is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Professional to provide interim support.

The organisation operates as a registered charity with an international membership base spanning individuals, institutions, and corporate partners. Its financial activities include managing membership income, professional accreditation fees, event revenues, and restricted funds linked to educational and charitable objectives.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and senior leadership team, the interim finance professional will play a key role in maintaining robust financial oversight, ensuring compliance with charity accounting standards, and supporting the preparation of management reports and year-end accounts.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliations, reporting, and cash flow management.
• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with charity SORP and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors, trustees, and department heads.
• Provide financial insight to guide strategic decisions across membership, accreditation, and project activities.

Person specification:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting and restricted/unrestricted income streams.
• Confident communicator able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
• Available to commit 2–3 days per week for an initial period of 2–3 months.
