Role overview
This is an entry-level role for someone looking to build a career in sponsorship, partnerships or commercial account management. Working closely with the Executive Director, Commercial & Partnerships, you will support the identification, development and delivery of Memcom’s commercial partnerships.
You will gain hands-on experience across the full partnership lifecycle, with training, guidance and the opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive, collaborative team.
Key responsibilities
Partnership research & pipeline support
- Research potential sponsors and commercial partners relevant to Memcom’s membership and events
- Support outreach activity, including preparing background research and initial communications
- Attend relevant industry events to help identify and build new contacts
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM
- Prepare notes, reports and updates for the Director
Business development support
- Assist with prospect outreach and follow-up communications
- Support the organisation of meetings with prospective partners
- Contribute to the preparation of partnership proposals and presentations
- Assist with drafting partnership documentation and contracts
- Support invoicing processes by collating required information
Partnership delivery & account support
- Support day-to-day communication with existing sponsors and partners
- Help coordinate review meetings and capture feedback
- Monitor partnership deliverables and flag progress or issues to the wider team
- Assist with reporting on partnership performance
- Support the management of partner listings on the Supplier Directory
Events & collaboration
- Attend Memcom events (primarily London-based) to support sponsors and partners
- Work with the Events and Marketing teams to ensure partners are supported before, during and after events
- Work across the whole of Memcom to identify potential partners and collaborators, and help deliver new business opportunities as required
About you
Essential
- Experience (paid or voluntary) in events, partnerships, sales, marketing or account support
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive and reliable approach, with a willingness to learn
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Willingness to travel and attend events
- Familiarity with CRM systems or databases
- A competitive streak, a winning mindset and a positive attitude
