We are seeking an experienced Strategic Partnerships Lead to drive commercial growth for an international membership association, working on developing new strategic partnerships and amplifying current partnerships.
This is a brand new role within the organisation, responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing high-value partnerships, and leading a new team (two direct reports). The aim is to select the right new partnerships, where both parties can benefit across a range of products and services the association offers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a commercial partnerships strategy to drive revenue and market expansion (UK and international).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and decision-makers.
- Lead negotiations and deal-making, securing partnerships that create long-term value.
- Oversee media and sponsorship sales, which your direct reports are responsible for.
- Provide team leadership, ensuring sales targets are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop market-relevant value propositions.
- Monitor market trends and apply insights to enhance commercial offerings.
About You:
- Proven experience in B2B sales and partnership development.
- Strong understanding of the training, education, or membership/professional services market.
- Track record of driving revenue growth through strategic deals.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Commercially aware, with strong analytical and project management abilities.
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to identify and seize opportunities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategy within a forward-thinking membership organisation. If you have the skills and drive to lead in a new team, we’d love to hear from you!
